Himedia Q10 Pro Useless
« on: September 13, 2021, 07:21:37 PM »
I've had the Himedia box for quite awhile. Bought it to play old videos I had on several hard drives. When I got done I stopped using it but then the TV season for 2020 stopped in May and I wondered,,,, Plugged the Himedia box back in and started to play around and found out just how useful it was on finding and playing old TV shows off the internet.

"That summer I started watching old TV shows that I remember liking. Alias, Justified, Miami Vice. Knight Rider and 24 are a few. Right now I was in the middle of the 2nd season of Miami Vice.

This summer I waited a bit longer and turned it on a or two week ago. SOMEHOW Kodi had upgraded itself to version 19.0 and now nothing on the box run/works. Is there a way I can tell the box, NOT KODI, to uninstall Kodi? I've got Kodi version 18.9 on a jumpdrive ready to install. Short of that can the box reset itself or be reset to exact factory release? Can help like this be requested on this forum? I've been trying/searching on the web to no avail. One website said to install Indigo. When I tried Kodi would not let it happen :<(((

Kodi was upgraded by the Google playstore. Disable automatic updates in the Playstore and uninstall Kodi 19.1.
To make a factory reset reinstall the software with the upgrade button method.
