Himedia Q10 Pro resetting itself
« on: April 05, 2021, 06:34:08 PM »
Hi

Has anyone had issue whereby Q10 will shut off or lock up, and when reboot it goes back to factory reset?

I have to reinstall to get kodi / Wrapper etc working again

After random time (days/weeks/month) it will shut off or freeze and do the same thing again?

this may be a symptom of power supply problems.  The only way to know is to try another plug pack and see if this fixes the intermittent issue you get.

When mine was fading, it caused a few strange boot issues and I found an external HDD power pack worked fine, so it was time to replace the original (approx 4 years old with constant daily use).

Thanks, I took your advice and bought a suitable power supply from Amazon

The unit seems more stable now, it even stopped randomly powering itself down now, and hasn’t reset itself to factory since
