Samba server optimisation / Patch 1.0.8
« on: April 03, 2021, 12:25:33 AM »
Hello,

i use Himedia Q10 Pro with the newest FW 2.1.7. I have a HDD inside and use Samba to communicate in my network with pc.
First my transfer data speed without "Samba_conf_patch_v1.0.8" was at 25-30 mb/s. After installing a Patch (using Option <1 Apply patch in smb.conf> in RUN_ME, then reboot) i have 60-70 mb/s max. This is a very good result for me.
But my problem is, when i power of my Himedia Q10 and start it later again, i have a transfer speed under 20 mb/s (most ca15 mb/s).
So when i choose after this a option <6 Unistall remove smb.conf> in RUN_ME, to restore the smb.conf file to standard i have after reboot my 25-30mb/s again.
It is like the box forget the patch after power off and starting later again or something? I mean i have nice speed after patching, should i do something to save this patch/update?

Maybe u guys can help me.

Greets
