Q10 pro OFW 5.1.1 leia 18.9

question about the ofw 5.1.1 and latest kodi update (leia 18.9) - every time i try to play a video from a service i get a "unfortunately, wrapper has stopped" error. Is there any way to overcome this? - thanks.

funny - doing some light reading i  have found -
* Can wrapper be used for streams? No, it is for local video only. Pre-installed wrapper is set up so that it will only launch for local files. Kodi internal player will be used for streams.
and yet it gives me wrapper stopped error when i try to stream.

The 5.1.1 FW is extremely old (3.5 years). I recommend installing latest Android 7 version.

yes - it does work there - verified - I am not a kodi superuser so I thought I would ask if I am missing something considering that it was advertised as compatible with 5 and above - thanks.
