HDMI max display mode = 1080i

when i try and set the hdmi ouput display mode the highest resolution choice i have is 1080i.
What am i doing wrong or, if its not me, how do i get the z9x to provide higher resolution choices.

I am on the latest firmware as of today.

never mind - go ahead and delete the post
I found out the problem. it was with my avr. I had the hdmi out from the z9x going to my avr and i thought the avr was passing through the signal directly to my tv. it does not apparently.
When plugging the z9x into my tv directly, i get the 4k option. All is good with the zidoo.
