« on: April 14, 2020, 01:23:12 PM »
I have a q10 that is approx. 4years old. a couple months ago, it stopped working ,it would not stay connected to internet. I upgraded firmware from 2.1.1 to 2.1.4 ,  but It  still doesn't work won't stay connected to internet, and, even when it  is connected the apps won't operate properly . eg: kodi will not connect to repositories. if anyone has I suggestion I would greatly appreciate the help l

How is the box connected to the internet? Have you tried wifi and cable?

Did you upgraded to version 2.1.4 with the upgrade button method? If you didn't backup important data and reinstall the firmware that way. If the issue persists completely reset the software by installing, with the upgrade button method, version 2.0.3, next 2.0.4 and finally the latest.
By what you're describing it doesn't seem like a hardware problem.

That shouldn't happen... Are you sure you didn't had Android 5 before installing 2.1.4?
If you're sure try to install version 2.0.1 before 2.0.3.
Do you have the international version of the Q10 Pro (16 GB of internal storage)?

what I should have said is when I try to download something from google play store It won't install, and it came with android 7.0 with 16 gb of internal storage. I used the upgrade button method as described aall I ge is the rings for a few seconds then the android figure lying on its back with the warning flag

If you are upgrading from firmware 2.1.1 to 2.1.4 - try the upgrade again! If you need to backup anything on your Q10, do it NOW! Run the Kodi Backup app as well!

(1) Make sure you download the correct file: https://www.mediafire.com/file/yv9ykcwxv659i16/Q10_PRO_FIRMWARE_2.1.4._INSTALL_ON_ANDROID_7_v2.0.4+_ONLY._FUTEKO._HMD-2.1.4_2019-05-31.zip/file

(2) Open this file with WinZip or PeaZip or whatever you have, and extract the file inside it (called "update.zip") onto a newly formatted USB memory stick.

(3) Check again that your USB memory stick has only ONE file on it (in the root), named "update.zip", and NOTHING else! (Do NOT unzip this file!)

(4) Switch the Q10 box OFF. Insert the USB memory stick into the Q10 box USB port. Press and HOLD the UPGRADE button at the back of the Q10. Switch the Q10 box ON.

(5) Remember to keep the UPGRADE button pressed until you see Android coloured circle upgrade logo on the screen.

But if you are upgrading from an earlier firmware on Android 5 to firmware 2.1.4 on Android 7 - you have to go through a longer, more complicated process!
