Z9S freezes on playback from network
« on: January 08, 2020, 10:44:52 PM »
Hello,

I got my brand new Z9S today. Unfortunately I have freezes and hickups when i play any 1080p or 4K movie from network.

My TV is an LG Oled55B9, and I've no problems when I reproduce movies from my Dune 4K, Egreat or Oppo 203.

Any suggestions or settings that might solve the problem?

Please describe the freezing in more detail. The problem could be many things.

How is the Zidoo connected to the network?
What kind of network share is it?

What app are you playing the video back in? Zidoo Home Theatre?

What are your settings in Settings - Display? Particularly the refresh rate and auto refresh rate settings?

What kind of video is it that is freezing? What fps?

I managed to connect to the network files by SMB and everything is working fine!

The problem seems to be the connection by NFS.

Thanks for your help!

Has anyone reported that the Z9S remote is working in the same frequences with the one of SVS PB-16 subwoofer? It is strange -to say the least- to enter a command in the Zidoo remote and see that the subwoofer responds also.

A temporary solution is to stick something in front of the SVS's remote sensor.
