Double connection Hdmi
« on: December 13, 2019, 01:21:15 PM »
Hy everyone,
I ask you for help with a problem that occurs with my Zidoo X20 as soon as I connect it in dual hdmi to the Panasonic FZ950 and Denon Avr 4400. Basically I have connected HDMI video to HDMI TV and HDMI audio to the input Denon media player. Everything is working properly. The problem is that when I switch X20 by remote control and switch to TV connected with HDMI arc to the receiver, the speakers do not emit any sound and in the TV menu it is not even possible to choose the HT connection, as if the amp didn't exist. If I turn off the X20 back button or leave it on, everything works properly. I tried to change the various TV ports, tried other HDMI cables, tried all the possible settings for the TV, the left and the X20 but nothing to do. Needless to say that before connecting X20 everything worked. And even doing the test by connecting a Himedia Q10 with only one HDMI first only to the TV and then only to the Denon everything is ok. Someone can tell me why this mess or above all if there is a solution?

You could try using a HDMI-CEC blocker with your Zidoo.

I tried with LINDY HDMI CEC inserting it on the zidoo video output and then on the TV input but it doesn't work the same.

Had similar problems using Dual HDMI and never got happy using it. As the final solution swapped my AMP for one not needing this.

The root problem all devices do simple implementations for HDMI-CEC despite being a very powerful and complex protocol with many features.

I solved it by buying a remote-controlled electrical outlet. I turn on and off the zidoo from that and everything is ok
