What do you mean by media browser?

There's a web browser.

And either 'media center' or Kodi can be used for browsing local network shares.

On the home screen (the screen you get after turning it on), there should be a large icon called 'Media Center'.

Second icon from the left here:

That icon will take you to a simple file explorer where you can play media.

Alternatively, you can install many file explorer / media explorer apps for free from Play Store. ES File Explorer is a better file explorer than the Himedia app and can be used to call the Himedia video player.

Ah. OK. When you first boot the box on latest 1.0.7 firmware you get a choice of launcher (how the home screen looks). The choice is 'launcher' or 'launcher_3d'. You've chosen 'launcher', whereas the himedia launcher is 'launcher_3d'. This offer of choice of launcher is confusing to most people and I am trying to get Himedia to remove the choice in future firmware.

Anyway, you can reset default launcher as follows:

Go Settings - More - Apps. Press right a few times until you get to 'ALL' tab. This will list all apps installed on your system. - this works with Himedia launcher running only.

Select the box with six dots, this should give you a list of apps. Choose 'settings' (cog icon).

Scroll down to Apps heading. Press right a few times until you get to 'ALL' tab. This will list all apps installed on your system.

Scroll down the list until you fin 'launcher'. Select it.

Select 'clear defaults'.

Press home key on remote. You will be offered the choice of launcher again.

There are many launchers available in Play Store so you can customise the box UI extensively. Having multiple launchers available is a good thing, presenting a choice of two with similar names and no explanation on first boot is not. I apologise for the inconvenience.

I do not recommend dogin a factory reset. If you want to reset the box please do a firmware reinstall using reset button method. This will completely wipe the box and get you back to shipping condition. A factory reset will cause some apps to disappear.
