Good Remote

At the Moment  I have 3 remotes for my Egreat player One is the that came with the player the other  are as follows Pro Chosen & the Rii the downside to all these remotes is you have be at the same hight of the player ( Mine is on the bottom shelf of my player ) which means I have to get on the floor to use it Which defeats the point of a remote. I there a Remote that gives out a wider signal so I can use the remote from the comfort of my sofa or would the download app  be a good job for me  and be able to control my box from the sofa. Has anybody have any ideas ? Just to add my player If it helps my A8 has blue tooth

Many good Android/universal remotes around with RF or BT (will work through a wall if desired). Using my AK86 (Egreat BT) even with my Zidoo Z9S.

Thanks Nice Monkey is there one I can use with my Egreat A8 that is not made by Egreat which has wide beam also which is back lighted if possible as I see it a bit of a landmine. Just one other quickly I have just tried to download it I got this Message T:/A5BD-EN firmware 20190123.V1.3.1.6(2) Rar The archive is either unknown format or Damage I am doing anything wrong or is the firmware Vi.3.1.6 at fault I also tried downloading via OTA but no luck there it just froze Many thinks

AK87 made by Egreat but is BT and has backlighting. It is a nice remote which came with my A11. Also sold separately by Futeko  and works will any Android media player with BT.

What about selling the BT remote that comes with Zidoo X20/X20 Pro? It is very similar and also should work with all brands like AK86 does.

That is the standard IR remote of Zidoo. But in fact that one works too as it reacts on any Android remote (=annoying for me). Also the Himedia one should work too for the same reason and probably has a better key match.

I do prefer the Riitek MX3 (RF with a dongle) myself as an alternative. Used to be sold also by Futeko but available in many places. Has 4x IR programmable keys + RF, Pointer mouse and a full qwerty keyboard on the back.  Some versions of it also have a microphone and a full programmable keyboard using IR for all keys. Others have back lighting but all are called MX3 (with different brands or no label).

Nice Monkey I think I own one of these Never used This could save me money  so if it is R/C that means I can use it  With dongle from the sofa rather than the other two remotes I have which are Useless in every way you have to get right up to the TV to use them.So will give it a try and see what happens see the V8  look like it is back Lit if Might get it as a back up. What Is IR like on the Rii has that got  a wide beam or should I stick with the R/f  for controlling my Egreat A8 box. Thanks for coming to my rescue

The idea behind the MX3 is to use it RF with your media player (dongle used) this also for Pointer Mouse  and keyboard.  IR needs to be programmed per key and can be used to control TV / AMP or whatever you need. The backlit version has only 5 programmable keys.

For the full programmable version the red toggle key IR/RF says TV and a blue key with a microphone (not explorer symbol) on it.
