Hi,
since i have Q5 Pro, i don't like very much this player. There are always issues, freeze, play format error etc. etc.
Upgrading firmware doesn't solve... rather it going to worst... Now i 've 2.1.1 Official but i'm not so glad. Also Custom Firmware doesn't convince me.

Now:
- Which version do you think is a rock firmware (the best of all) to install on it about solidty & realibility? ???

Thanks all!

It is hard to tell what your issues have been or why they have occurred.

I've been using custom 2.1.1 firmware since it's release and have had none of the issues you describe.  My issues in the past were all network related, due to Windows and Samba changing things like SMB protocols, not the HiMedia player.

I have happily used my Q10Pro on a daily basis, for more than 2 years for local HDD and NAS networked playback.  I still use Kodi as a "front end" for my video and music library but it is the built-in HiMedia Media Center player that does all the video playback work (using "playercorefactory" settings in Kodi to shell to the external player).

If you are having issues trying to stream video from internet sources, it is more likely the cause of your problems?  If the file "freezing and play format errors etc etc" are from local files, can you identify what codecs are they using?
