Upgrade software or not ?

At the moment on my Egreat A8 ( old type) the software  it is the one "Futeko" recommended to me which is Firmware v1.2.9.0  which works Fine,  I would like to know is this Firmware 1316 better because the last time I upgraded it was awful  slow loading etc posters missing so went back to 2.9 which Futeko recommended. And what about Vidron is that safe to use now?

If your current firmware is working as you need then I would recommend not updating. 1.3.1.6 is not a big update to 1.2.9.0.

Vidon is Kodi 16 with integreated hardware support for Egreat. It's OK, and better than Egreat's media browser for indexing and navigating a media library. Again though, if you don't actually need it then stick with Egreat's media browser. It would be nice if Egreat/Vidon released a new version based on Kodi 18, but I am not holding my breath.

yes agreed, but 1.3.1.6 is also a very stable firmware. Very little against upgrading to it. For me it is the best thus far.

It is about time for the next wave (I do expect including the long acclaimed Android 7).
