Himedia Q10 pro Stuttering
« on: March 17, 2019, 10:46:35 AM »
Hello Guys.

I've problem with Stutter on the  Himedia q10pro if I watching movie 4k HDR  i see only  minimalize stutter if is ENABLE :  [PATCH] More auto framerate switching - HIMEDIAPLAYER
any Firmware OFW or CFW this same situation. Playback 24hz  off or on this same problem with stutter.   I like this  software "switching fremerate " because I see   4;4;4 12 bits  on the movie 24hz. without this software is ok no stutter but  i have only  4;2;2 8bit or 4;2;0 10bit on the movie. My
receiver show me all color depth etc.

any person have this same problem or fix it?

Best Regards:

Przemek

444 12 bit it's impossible :o ... 444 10 bit  or 422 12 bit  @23,976hz.

try to force  444 10 bit 30hz in menu setting or leave AUTO.

For 24p (23.976fps/Hz) videos you don't need to install any patches. I suggest uninstalling the patch first. And turn on the default 24Hz mode in the Settings.

For proper colorspace and bitdepth switching on 4K, you must set the GUI to 4K / 30Hz and set YCbCr 444 / 10bit in the Advanced menu. Setting the GUI to 60Hz will result in 422 / 8bit output for all videos after freque switching during playback, that's far from optimal. This is a HiMedai bug, and needs to be resolved in the future, there's also a thread here covering the issue.  : https://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=3226.msg27469#msg27469

Still waiting for the next update to resolve this...

I thought stuttering and buffering was eliminated but i do still have same problem. aquaman stutters like a mofo. My nas is 10gb going into a 10gb switch, q5 pro on same switch. aquaman is 80MB/s bitrate

played around with the media player, seems to only stutter on TrueHD soundtrack, Ac3 soundtrack plays fine
