Upscaling and Fast Forward video sound
« on: November 17, 2015, 08:27:30 AM »
Hello,
I'd like watching 4k @60FPS HEVC videos, including 3D Full HD iso's, one of my questions are:

1. How does Himedia H8 Octa handle the scaling? I have a 4k UHD TV and wonder, if I watch 1080p videos, is there a way to skip H8 Octa's upscaling (as my TV is good at that)?

Also, as a part of my work, I need to study some recoreded interviews and webinars by watching/listening to them to find some interesting thoughts, usually it's hours of boring and slow speaking and viewing.

Currently I've tried two other media players (Mede8er and Xtreamer) to play these at x1.5 and x2 Fast Forward (FF) speeds while hearing perfect audio (pitch is preserved) to save me lots of time... Here comes my 2nd question:

2. When you're playing videos on H8 Octa, is there a way of FF the videos with sound on x1.5 or x2 speed? The fast forward feature should surely exist, but does it have a listenable sound without stuttering on these speeds with correct pitch?
