Netflix/Maxdome in HD? Kodi/Firmware-Update?

Is the H8-Box certificated by Netflix and can show Videos and Movies in HD?
Also german Maxdome in HD?

I need Kodi mainly for IPTV and TV-Mediathek-Play.
Can I install the newest version kodi 16.0 Jarvis_alpha4 easily, without sound-problems?

Why has the Himedia H8 Octa no power switch?
Not very functionally!

When power supply via socket the box starts immediately and does not go into standby.
This is also not an optimal solution.

Is there the possibility of a firmware-update to perform well in the android-menu-settings?
Or only about the hardware Reset-Pin?

H8 is not certified by Netflix. Netflix is 480p. There is only one Android box where Netflix is HD. I'm not sure about Maxdome.

You can install Kodi 16 and everything will be OK but you'll lose 7.1 audio and 3D compared to H8 custom Kodi. You'll also lose some performance.

H8 has no power switch because not many people use it. H8 uses very minimal power in standby.

You can update firmware using the menus and you will retain settings this way, however we recommend installing using the reset button because menu install retaining settings will cause problems with some apps. Always better clean install.
