Thank you for the answer, but actually HiMedia player works much better than Kodi (no 24 Hz, no Full-HD 3D (frame-packet),...)
and tell you the truth, I prefer to use the ad-free freeware Mizuu (
http://mizuu.tv/download/) as browser and database
and the HiMedia player as movie player. It is small, fast and very easy to use (wife proof

).
H8 octa is advertised as Android box and not as Kodi box.
OK, Kodi is one big thing on it and if it is working I will give it a try but also the other programs should work!
That is the reason why I send you the bugs I find and hope that you will transfer them to HiMedia to fix them.
(I did not use Kodi because actually it is useless (see above). So my fear is, if I start working with it I will find also a lot of bugs.

)
I know it is not the best advertisement for the product if somebody find and post so many bugs during one week of using it.
So excuse me for that. But after a given time, I want to have a 100% working box for some years to be happy with.
And for that the users have to post bug reports to HiMedia/You.
Have you tested the thing with the forced subtitles in Kodi? - Is it working?
Ultimately (soon) it will replace himediaplayer.
What means replace and what means soon? - If Kodi will have all missing features in the future the HiMedia player will be removed from the firmware?
To avoid a new topic I report here:
As I mentioned before,
if I start the replay from Mizuu and choose MX Player, everything is OK and MX Player plays with its restrictions the movie.
If I start the replay from Mizuu and choose the HiMedia player, for MKV files I get "Error Code: -404 and for ISO files I get for infinite time the moving circle (egg timer).
