Firmware

Latest firmware: http://www.himediatech.com/support.htm

Downloads

* Remote control apps Install first app on H8 and second on Android phone/tablet. H8 app: http://www.mediafire.com/download/vwu4vmwpe55l2t7/wkremoteTV-client-release-haimeidi-release.apk Tablet/phone app: http://www.mediafire.com/download/dbt88t7mth75brr/wkremote-update2-release-haimeidi-release.apk

FAQ

* Drive mount location? All apps except the HiMedia file browser and player use Android file structure. All directories and locations are subdirectories of root, which is symbolised as /. External drives are located at /mnt/usb_storage/USB_DISK1 /  /mnt/usb_storage/USB_DISK1 etc.

* Drive mount location in Kodi? Root file system - /mnt/usb_storage/USB_DISK1 /  /mnt/usb_storage/USB_DISK1 etc.

* How to make Kodi launch on startup? There are several free apps in Play Store designed to do this. We recommend Autostart and Stay!: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atasoglou.autostartandstay&hl=en_GB

No. There aren't any Android boxes I know of that support external CD/DVD/Blu-Ray.

Hi!
It has an AVR171s + HKTS16 amplifier and an H8 Plus Media Player. My problem is that if I launch a movie through Media Center, I do not recognize HD sounds.
The H8 Plus settings (Settings / Playback) have only two options.
1: HDMI Output: This is set to HDMI
2: 1080P24Hz: I set this on On.
There is no other option like allowing HD audio forwarding. The latest Firmware is up. Connected to Media Player and TV ARC. If I connect to another HDMI, this is the fault.
I found a setting in KODI to enable HD sound transmission. I turned it on so everything in CODI was resolved. The only problem is that the sound is often squeezed at several .mkvs. Is not there a setting to not slip? I'm not thinking of manual sliding. Allegedly, it does not slide in Media Center, so I want to set it to work.
Thanks.

Need assistance, I just uploaded the latest Firmware for my H8 Lite and went through the entire process of placing the Update zip file on a memory stick and following the instructions and everything went smoothly, the system was updating and eventually rebooted and now it is stuck on the initial screen with the HiMedia logo and has been for the past 20 mins. Not sure what the problem is at the moment, has anyone experienced this issue before and if so what is the next step if there is still any hope in saving this box? I downloaded the HMD 1.1.7 version . Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Zbyszek

Himedia H8 Plus octacore downgrade
Hello everyone
Please help
I installed firmware 1.1.7 and the problems started.
There is no way I can connect to the Google Play Store.
I get the message: Server error
Every attempt to update any application from the Google Play Store ends with the same message.
I cleared the application memory and the server error still persists.
And now the most important thing, I tried to downgrade the firmware from 1.1.7 to older versions (1.0.7 - 1.0.9 - 1.1.2 - 1.1.3) and each attempt ends with an error and a message that a version older than 1.1.7 cannot be installed.
Please help!!
