3d iso playback
« on: May 29, 2018, 10:34:29 AM »
Hi all

I've been using my Himedia HD900A for last 5 years or so...very satisfied...now going to upgrade to a new media player.

Of course forum support for the himedia players are always top class compared to others. The thing is that I've read that there is an issue at 3d iso playback not only  playing the 23,976fps at 24hz but also supporting external subs. I'm watching 3d movies a lot...so is it still an issue with this player? What does this 23,976fps outputing at 24hz mean? Will it stutter? Subs are an essential thing and especially in greek.

Thanks for your time
Waiting for your inputs so as to decide

There is a slight stutter every 41 seconds (or so). I have asked repeatedly Himedia for an update on a fix, but they have not provided a date - probably it will never be fixed, unfortunately.

I forgot to say something else . While playing a 3D movie, subtitles do not  actually  display in 3D - they are displayed with no depth, causing visual strain.

If you're very satisfied with current player why buying new one in the first place?  :o

Player is very good in general, forum is also indeed a good one, but unfortunately Himedia has a tendency that every new firmware introduces too many new bugs. Also issues reported by several users long time ago remains unsolved.

So if you do not have issues with your current player and your primary intent is not to help global economy, maybe it's a better choice to stick to you current player  :D
