New files in HDD doesn't appear!?

Why when I add some new files (for example some series tv) in my HDD, in KODI  doesn't appear and sometimes for to recognize I have to do a lot of passages ? Happens to me frequently...

Go into the view settings when in your library , where you can choose list view etc , down the bottom should be an update library option.

In Kodi settings, you can also switch  on auto-update for the library.  This then checks for new content each time you start Kodi.
It works well but has been the cause of issues with previous Kodi updates (which is why I still do mine manually after each boot). 
Version 17.6 seems quite stable for now.

Always update the library in Kodi. I am doing this every time I add something new. It does not update by itself. Usually there is an Update option in the skin you are using. It depends a lot on the skin and on the library view.
