'Source Direct' / auto resolution switching test patch

pcristi has added auto resolution switching (sometimes called 'source direct') support to his auto framerate switching patch.

This thread is to notify forum users who otherwise might not check the end of the framerate thread.

The patch is experimental and more testing is welcomed.
