ttorrent and fixed name usb. Root required??
« on: October 07, 2015, 10:35:39 PM »
Hello!

I want to install a torrent client, for example tTorrent.

As I can make tTorrent downloaded to external disks in the HiMedia Q5?
As I read android KitKat not allow write to external HDD or SD units.

I tried to tTorrent and does not work with USB hard drive.

Is it mandatory to be root?

Someone has to HiMedia Q5 root? It is safe?

I have seen this method, is it appropriate?

Also I have a problem with the name change USB drives, if I have two connected usb HDD, it puts a names, if I take one, he renamed the left.
How can assign a fixed name to the USB port?
With root access you can be solved?

Is there any other method?

If to install a torrent client is required to root, I will.

Being root, how a fixed name is assigned to the USB ports?

Thanks a lot!
