Virtual keyboard always displays

My biggest complain regarding the Keyboard handling:

Even if I set the Virtual Keyboard (the default Hi Keyboard) to be OFF when External Physical keyboard is active (in the Android Settings menu), when I try to type with the Physical keyboard (i.e. in Chrome) the Virtual keyboard still pops up on the screen. And for some unknown reason while the Virtual is still active I cannot use the "Enter" key on the Physical keyboard. It just doesn't do anything. So I must click on the Virtual "Enter" to enter any text in the search bar. 

Any solutions to these Futeko?
