Skin Tones ?
« on: March 06, 2018, 10:36:52 AM »
Hey Guys

I Have noticed on my A-11 that the skin tones have a strange look to them. i did some comparing with my Popcorn Hour A-500 and found that the A-500 looked more natural.

The A-11 is set to ?2160p30 / YCbCr 444 10Bit /HDR auto. its hooked up to ?a Panasonic TX-58DX902B TV

I tried different display settings on the A-11 but it still has this strange look on the skin tones.

Has anyone noticed this ?

Here are a couple of photos to compare that i took with my iPhone X

Try turning off or changing settings for Imprex image enhancement. The A11 photo looks like it has a lot more image processing applied.

Go Settings - Display - Image engine.

i had a look at the image engine, i had to turn the HDR Auto to SDR before i could alter it, thats probably why i have never touched it before as i thought it would be off if you can't access it when the HDR Auto is enabled.

So i played about with the settings and got it to where i am happy with the picture, then i enabled the HDR Auto again

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction
