Best player for UHD remux
« on: February 26, 2018, 08:06:30 PM »
Hi all. Currently have a Vero 4k and was a previous owner of an himedia Q5 pro. I stopped the Q5 as was having handshake issues when swopping between resolutions, which the Vero 4k handles natively and flawlessly.

However, I noticed that the Vero seems to downsample 4k files from their native content to 8 bit 4:0:0 and this is noticeable to me vs streaming from my Panny ub900 for example (which can output the same file at 12bit 4:2:2).

Question is which player is best for outputting the native 4k file content without downsampling? I am not interested in upsampling as I have an offboard video processor, it just was the raw file output untouched.

Thanks
