Netflix just hangs and times out

Himedia Q5
Installed Netflix 4.16-200147-release.apk
When I run it it hangs on the start up netflix log and then eventually says it can't reach Netflix and times out.
All my other Netflix players can reach Netflix.

Q5 pro
Android 7.0
Build HMD-2.0.6 2017-10-25.152025

I have searched the forum but can't quite find the problem explained, probably my fault.

Help gratefully received and respectfully requested..

That's an old version of Netflix. Install latest version from here: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/netflix-inc/
