Author Topic: A11 - Can it send Atmos / DTS-X from its HDMI 1.4 Audio output to HDMI 2.0 AVamp  (Read 4762 times)

I currently have a HiMedia Q5 Pro and I am looking at getting a new HDR capable TV.

My AVamp is only HDMI 2.0 capable so will not pass HDR.

I therefore need an HDMI splitter or a player with two HDMI outputs to send HDR video directly to the TV and seperate audio to the AVamp.

My question is if I replaced the Q5 with the Egreat A11 would I be able to play Atmos and DTS-X audio from the HDMI 1.4 audi output via an HDMI 2.0 input on my AVamp?

My understanding is that there should be enough bandwidth but has anyone proved that this works?

Thanks.
Karl
