Firmware Update Help
« on: December 18, 2017, 12:40:28 PM »
Hi all

Hoping someone can offer advice. Had my Q10 box since xmas 2014 and never really needed to update as it has quite happily sat there running what I needed. However the power supply seemed to fail. Ive managed to sort that, but box seems very temperamental and will reboot without warning.

Ive reset to factory settings and looking at the build number its 'HMD-1.0.6 2014-11-13.175658'

Model number is Q10EN.2000

Please can someone advise which is the latest to see if it resolves to random rebooting.

Thanks

thanks, unsure if thats broke it!! device just seems to now be in a boot loop!!

downloaded, unzipped, used SD card with just update.zip in the root, powered on and left update pressed until android image appears.

one thing, my update button is on the back of my device not between the USB ports?

any ideas?

The instructions are very clear that you should use a USB pen drive..

Try again using USB, hopefully the install will progress normally.
