4:2:0 10bit only would make sense in the case of 50/60fps videos (with same color space and bit depth), as it's only supported on 50/60Hz, regarding the HDMI 2.0 specifications: https://www.extron.com/company/article.aspx?id=hdmi2faq. But most videos are still 23.976 /24 /25 fps.

Other than that, it would make sense to set it to 4:2:2 10bit (for 10 bit videos) or 4:2:2 8bit (for 8bit videos). But if you don't want any hustle, set it to the "simple" 4:2:2. I guess in this case the player will change the bit depth to either 8 bit or 10bit adapting to the video source. But you can simply test it by starting a video (a 8bit and a 10bit) and see with your TVs info button that it's adapting or not. (I can't test this as I only have a 8bit TV).

... if you are so lucky your TV disaplys those information.
My Sony (2017) gives only the resolution.
No Hz
No HDR
No bit depth.

Yea, I have heard that some -even high-end- TV's lack that option. In that case use the AVRs info button. If you can't neither of that, you must rely to your own eyes regarding the PQ when comparing the 422 10 bit vs the "simple" 422 setting. There are sure good test samples for that around the net, search something like "color bending" and "10bit test" and so on...

Also "hi end" AVRs don't do that. Info button in my Denon x7200WA shows audio infos only.

Well, some TVs and AVRs do, and some do not...
