Hi,

There aren't settings in Kodi that can change that level of picture quality. Are you using internal Kodi player or himedia player via wrapper? Is Imprex engine on?

Yes but before that try to change the color space in advance settings, try RGB and ycbcr and test it, with my TV I prefer ycbcr. Also check in the menus of your TV if can change the type of device that's connect to the hdmi.
Settings in Kodi are irrelevant to Himedia player, it's a external software to Kodi. There are settings in Himedia player you can change but it's really personal taste.

I don't understand what you mean with video rumors. How's the picture quality in general, home screen, YouTube etc?

First steps i would recommend:

1. Plug the HiMedia Box in to the right HDMI slot for Media Players (refer the TV's manual: usually it's the one for Blu-Ray Players). (And do the plugging with all of the devices as the Box and the TV/AVR/Soundbar/etc turned OFF!).

1. Set the input (HDMI) source on the TV of the Box to "Blu-ray", and the "label" mode to "Film", "Cinema", "Theater" or whatever this supposed to be on your TV (see the TV's manual!).

Oh, and first of all: check all of your HDMI cables if they aren't damaged and if they're plugged in correctly on both ends. (Only when all devices are turned OFF!)

Then -if your TV and the Box is not faulty- you should get a decent picture.
