KODI 17.5.1 and wrapper issue
« on: October 28, 2017, 02:32:07 PM »
Hi,

I just installed KODI 17.5 on my 1.09 FW and can not play any streming file using any video plugin. Whatever I want to play, I am getting error message saying that "Unfortunately, wrapper app has been stopped".

I tried to update to 17.5.1 and still the same. I tried to set wrapper setting to Set to KOdi Player - still the same.

What could be the cause of this, ho I can get back to watch online movies again?

As I have figured out, you want to play online streams and that of course would not work with HiMedia Player, but is should with KODI Player.

Try to set Wrapper back to KODI player again (you may need to set back and forth to Wrapper/KODI and than close it a couple of times), or in KODI press menu button on the stream and select "Play using->Video Player".

Hi,

Correct, this is the fix, now playing all using Kodi player.

Any idea if or when we can set wrapper to play files again?

Setting it to "Wrapper Player" means that it will use the stock HiMedia Player. And it is way more better for anything else, than online streams. Simple.
