Hi all.
I usally play my mkv files from my NAS.
Both, the Q10 Pro and the NAS are wired on a GBIT Switch.
All my Videos work fine with the wrapper player. No stuttering. I only have Problems with larger Files >50GB (120 mins). It seems the ethernet card of my Q10 Pro is too slow for that!?
The film is running 30-60 seconds and starts lagging than...
Is there some limitation? On my PC I can stream everything well with VLC from the same NAS. So The NAS Or the switch are not the problem.
(Synology DS1515)
I use NFS shares for best performance.
I dont want to build any HDD into the Q10Pro and also would not like to transfer every film to a USB Stick before watching it :\
I think 50GB would be easy to read in 120 minutes? :\
to watch movie of 50 Gb or 4k HDR with pc or NAS is not best performance. please read my equipment (here down) and look the best way to watch movie without problems and buffering.
Even a stable 100Mbit LAN speed could be enough for a high-bitrate 4K HDR video, streamed from a NAS or PC, but yea, let's say make it to max 140Mbps, for play it "safety". So, if a
Gbit router/NAS/LAN/Cable has no flaws and configured correctly it shouldn't be any problem at all. Either is the problem network related or the Q10 Pro's LAN speed have some serious fallback with this firmware...
And sorry, but I don't see any kind of signs in your "equipment" that could matter or be helpful in this case...
To the OP: Be sure to check the UTP cables as well. Only use Cat 5e or Cat 6 cables and try to swap the one you're connecting the Q10 Pro with.
