q10 internal hard drive power off or sleep, and p24 setup
« on: August 25, 2015, 06:50:32 PM »
Hi, even i use the movies in my nas, the internal drive is always with power on, i know that because temp is high if i open the dock (q10 with power off) and i touch it, also i know is in on because the motor is in on, is there a way to power off it when not in use?
Also, even i got the p24 activated, i see all the movies in 1080 50hz(this is how is in android setting, i haven't see 24p option there) , how i must setup it to see the movies that are in 24p in the best way.

Is not my TV, because on my last player is see 24p when pressing the info key in TV.
Thanks a lot

HDD auto power off is not possible with the Q10. I'm not sure it's possible with any Android device yet and it is the kind of thing that would most likely need to be implemented at an OS level. I'd reccommend using a low power/heat drive like WD Green.

24p switching works on our test TVs with the playback option (Settings - Playback - 24p) set to on. The setting is 1080p 24p only, so it won't work for 720p 24p. For 4K 24p set the resolution in Display to 2160p 24Hz.

Hi Futeko, thanks for your reply, ok then no hdd power off, about 24p,  i got 1080p 50hz on screen resolution and 24p activated, but i seen all the movies in  1080p 50hz(kodi only), when with my last player most movies i see in TV screen 24p, anyway don't seem to be a great problem, movies play fine, and the q10 is easy to setup.
Thanks a lot good luck

24p in Kodi only works with the Himedia wrapper installed. Setup is the same as Media Centre.

Hi, wrapper don't help, and if i disable pass-through audio, i got only 2 channels Dolby Pro Logic II, even i got dts/ac3 and HD audio receiver , then i must enable pass-through audio.
Thanks
