Netflix 1080P
« on: August 15, 2015, 07:50:12 PM »
Hallo,

Please does someone knows if Netflix plays on this box at 1080P? Have no experience with Android devices.

Tanks,

Marcel.

Non-sanctioned by Netflix Android boxes like this will only do 480p. If you want full Netflix, you'll need nVidia Shield Android TV, Google Nexus Player or Amazon Fire TV.

Why?

Want I don't understand is that I pay for the service so watching on what ever box, own also Wdtvlive, should be possible.
Haven't seen the H8 yet because I am on vacation in Danemark, but sure when I am back in  the Netherlands I'll check it. In case not possible, then
I'll ask over the Dutch provider some explanation...

They want you to be member so at least a decent reproduction at acertain level should be possible.

Thanks for your answer..

Enjoy the day with smile.

Marcel

Maybe complain to Netflix and threaten to cancel to your subscription. If enough people did that it would make them think about doing something.

horstvdm, it's cause Netflix is simply being controlling and catering to Hollywood studios. Who needs Netflix anyway?! I cancelled a year ago and don't miss it at all... Google XXXXXX add-on for Kodi ;).

You are right, I am using xbmc/kodi for a long time. First pi and later on a Intel nuc... now I am curious how this could be working on an
Android device. Will try later this week the H8..

I am not a Netflix fan but my daughter likes the Draken riders of Berk, available in Dutch language at Netflix. So therefor it would be nice to have 720/1080 besides my Wdtvlive... One device for all media in stead of different applications or hardware.

Enjoy the day with a smile

I tried Netflix on this box but the app is not working. Streams keep loading and don't start. Is it just me or is the a firmware issue?
