Confirmation of a few things for firmware 2.0.4

I had a few things that were a deal breaker for me for the android 7 roms from himedia previously and curious if any have been fixed yet?

- Can the default launcher be made to a third party one now?
- I think tasker has been updated so should now show the settings menu now? Anyone confirm this?
-  Any down sides for Kodi 17 from the latest android 5 rom? I am assuming multi channel audio is still a no, but at least it won't be worse than what I currently have.

Anyone comment on these things? It's a large effort on my box to update  (as all my automation setup is required for all my apps on fresh install) and I'm sure someone has either changed the launcher or installed tasker.

I have now read people are having problems with logging into the play store which would be a major problem for me.

1. In Official 2.0.4 you can't change the Launcher. But you can in CFW 2.0.4.

3. I would also like to know more about this, like are the IPTV/Streaming add-ons working flawlessly  like they were in 16.1. So far I know, that in Official 2.0.4 you won't have even DD and DTS 5.1 audio passthrough with 17.x. But in CFW 2.0.4 you will have, just like with 16.1. But still no HD audio.

Another solution is to upgrade to Official 2.0.4 and install KODI 16.1 in place off 17.x.

4. In 2.0.4 you can't change account passwords or add another account with google after the first. That's a bug for sure.

Still like this. Damn. Maybe CFW is an option then but still surprised the OEM firmware has this problem. All my minix boxes allow access to all settings, install all apps, choose default launchers... This box hides a lot of that and doesn't allow other things. Glad that root is possible otherwise this would be closer to being an Apple box (jokes). I need root for automation of keyboard and a few things in tasker for automation.

Fair enough. This is minor as there are work arounds for this.

Damn I can't believe this is still the same. I really expected them to bring the audiostream v14 or whatever it is thats needed. For consistency  with my other minix boxes (they rule at the moment) I will stick with Kodi 17.

Ah OK. So not a big problem. But create the account early on in case a hard reset is required.
