HiMedia Q10 Pro Newbie
« on: June 14, 2017, 11:23:43 PM »
This is my first thread here, so please take it easy on me.

I have just purchase a second hand Q10 pro and upon inspection, it looks like Kodi and Youtube have been uninstalled. Also, when trying to run the pointer from the remote, it seems to be very slow and jerky. If I go to settings and try the firmware update function, it says it is up to date (Android 7 I believe). So my question is, Before I go to far with this box adding stuff, what should I do first to make sure the box is running at its top performance. I also tried too install the netflix app, but when I try to run it, it fails before it gets to the login screen. Is the Netflix app still working on these boxes as I read that Netflix are clamping down on certain box types?

Thanks for any help provided.
Also I cannot confirm what firmware I have installed at the moment as I currently am at work.

You should check if you have android 5 or 7 on the box then reinstall the whole thing with 1.1.0 or 2.0.3 CFW (custom firmware):

You may want to install/configure MX Player as well if you want full playback compatibility:
