Hi puiut

"8. Run SuperSU and when it prompt for update binary, choose Yes."

When running SuperSU, Do not ask the update binary.

and( /System/fonts/ ) I can not change the system fonts.

Has anyone used this method to root the HiMedia Q5 or Q10?

Can anyone confirm if it works?

Is the data are lost when you root?

Yesterday I tried this method and can confirm that worked in my Q5.

Download file
Rename it to update.zip and put it on usb
Go to Settings -> update -> from usb
Confirm
The Himedia Q5 will reboot and start loading the update
In programs will have the SuperSU program.
Run SuperSU and if is prompt for update binary, choose Yes

And configuration settings are not lost!
