[Q10 pro] Kodi 16.1 lagging some videos on hard drive.

Greetings,
I have Q10 pro with Kodi 16.1. I have a hard drive installed with 2TB. My problem that Kodi with some files only when plays them from the hard drive it is lagging and freezes while playing.
If I play the same file from my NAS then the video is very smooth.
I replaced the hard disk and the issue is still the same.. When I use the media center to play it from the internal drive also working fine.
Any idea what could be the problem.

You did not say what firmware you are using. You need to install this http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=1015.0. It is not lag, it is a known issue, it was fixed on 2.0.3, but that firmware has too many other bugs to be used. I am on 2.0.1 with that patch and I do not have issues.

Sorry for late reply but I was out for a while.
I tried what yo suggested but it doesn't work. I don't think the problem is the framerate. since the file can be played from my NAS without any issue.
the firmware I'm using is 1.1.0 since version doesn't seem to be stable till now.

Test the HDD you are using inside the Q10 Pro, defragment it. It may just be a bad HDD, even if it is only at a logical level. Check wiring if you are using an external USB HDD.
