The issue of occasional microstutter is present on the latest FW + Himedia player? Is there no way around this apart from to downgrade as per above posts?
Thanks
No, it isn't.
Everything at 23.976fps plays at 23.976Hz (with the exception of MVC 3D ISO which outputs at 24Hz).
The pcristi patch is not necessary for most users and only adds more autoswitching / changes how DVD ISO switches (see thread for more info).
Thanks for the response. Apologies, my post wasn't very clear. I was
reporting occasional microstutter (around every 3-4 mins) on all 4K MKV files. Playing from external drive, TV is an LG OLED B7.
I tried changing all the settings - e.g. Imprex engine off/on etc. but to no avail. Yesterday evening, after extensive testing, I finally found an answer (of sorts):-
Launch from Kodi 17.6 + wrapper = microstutter
Launch from Moviebar = no microstutter!
Why this should be the case I have no idea, since they are both using the same Himedia player. It would be better to have the library handling functionality of Kodi rather than the limited capabilities of Moviebar, but at the same time it's more of a relief to have eliminated the stutter. You end up sitting there waiting for it instead of enjoying the film, and when it happens it takes you out of the movie even more.
Any suggestions to stop the Kodi stutter would be very welcome of course.
