Different Home Screen

I downloaded different home screen apps, but i cannot schose them in the settings. Only the default home screen is offered to choose.
I really would like to change that, because i consider the functionality of the default home screen as very poor. I cannot even make unwanted buttons dissapear.

Normally when you install a new home screen replacement and you press home you will get a message which home screen launcher you want to use. So if you don't have this message - delete the new home screen app and reinstall it.

Sorry, but I disagree. In that link that  have written @pcristi I can see the following:

So I guess that should be a possible solution.
Knowing that this may work, who writes the updates may make the corrected actions
I still do not have the q10pro, but I suppose there are no ssh connection problems between it and other devices. It is another way to make the necessary modifications without using adb commands
I have ssh connection with no problems but I not rooted Q10pro and I can't modify build.prop file.
I use adb commands with no problems. I have a new home screen.
