H10 will be extremely similar to Q10 Pro, using same chipset and same firmware.

If anything it reinforces the commitment HiMedia have to HiSilicon Hi3798CV200.

At this time the most important is to Himedia to fix problem in the Q10 Pro  ...

Agreed! They can't just move on to new hardware while the old model remains broken  >:(

Is there also something positive to say about FW 2.0.3?

LOL, also have asked here Futeko the same a few days ago in a detailed post. Didn't get any answers tho'...

Quote
Futeko states (as mirroring Himedia) that this is the best firmware so far. :??? What makes this statement true, in what has it been improved since 1.0.9?  Does it have a better PQ? I didn't even bothered any Android 7 version to try, cause based on the complains read here it caused more troubles than fixes. Why should I trust better in this upgrade?

The "Wallposter" feature isn't a big  deal breaker for me as I use KODI for Jukeboxing and I'm quite used to and satisfied with it.

I have also read on another forum, that 2.0.3 reintroduced the dynamic contrast "flashing" bug, is that true, has it been already and properly tested by Futeko?!
And what about the incorrect 23.976 fps bug reports coming also from 2.0.3 fw user try-outs posted here a few days ago? Are they all just "humbug"?!

And I have also read, that Himedia won't do any further updates on Android 5. -> That's also a sort of disappointment.  The best fw I've tried so far was 1.0.9, and still based on Android 5.

Just let it go.
This firnware sucks. It's a huge desaster.

Annoying enough we have to wait for a new one.

Futeko should ask for a Bugfix release.
Just fixing errors no new features.
Especially those introduced with 2.0.3.

Hi.
Does anyone has issues with HiControl after 2.0.3 update? Both my phone Samsung A3 and tab Nexus 7 have no video (sound is ok). Everything was fine with 2.0.1 version.

@futeko

I am still on 2.0.1 and Kodi 16.1 which is somehow the most stable situation right now.

Do we have any news from the developers? Easter is over. Can we get some feedback regarding the issues faced by everyone here and plans for a proper firmware update that can hopefully make everyone happy?

Thanks a lot

Also just a quick question, is the decision NOT to use HDMI Arc due to hardware limitation or could it be potentially introduced by firmware update?
The Q10 is the only device I have that doesn't support ARC so it messes up my Soundbar and I often have to turn off my TV completely in order for the soundbar to work again with the other devices...  :-\

Or cheaper option:
HDMI male to female DVI adaptor, plugged into Q10Pro and DVI male to HDMI female adaptor plugged into it (both very cheap from eBay).
DVI does not pass CEC signal.  Problem solved  :)

.
DVI also doesn't pass audio signal, so it's not a good option, unless you pass audio via digital output SPDIF and not HDMI.

And then you have no 7.1 or Atmos etc.

YES, exactly! Only 5.1 via SPDIF .

By the way it is true that CEC seems disabled in firmware 2.0.3 , after my Pioneer AV Homecinema received a firmware update and I updated Q10Pro to 2.0.3 HDMI CEC is working again with my TV.

Hello to everybody from Romania.
Just got my Q10 Pro, Android 7. Upgraded to 2.0.3 official firmware. Playing only local files from internat HDD.
Subitle bug again by not displaying correctly diacritics, in both Kodi+Wrapper and HimediaPlayer. Changing different encodes not solving it either.
In Kodi+Wrapper if set Subtitle Encoding to Auto, is the closest to being correct, by displaying everything in Romanian correctly EXCEPT for letter " ? "wich is displayed by a square. Also the type of signs shown sometimes differ from one subtitle to other, probably because of different translators using different softwares and type of encoding. Any advice? Thanks.

I've had the same issues. You need to check the encoding on a PC and then select UTF-8 or ANSI. You can easily view encoding of a subtitle in Notepad++ on Windows. I am only using the wrapper on 3D content now because I still had issues with diacritics on some subtitles.
