Video playback in native resolution issue
« on: April 03, 2017, 03:18:52 PM »
Hi all,

I can see in the home page menu that i can choose my preferred output resolution 1080p 24hz, 2160p 50hz etc), but i would like an options that simply plays back the file in its native format.

I have noticed that if i play UHD content with the 1080p setting my amp only recognises a 1080p signal (i.e. the Q10 appears to be downscaling the image), and vice versa for 1080p content where it appears to be upscaling if I set the native resolution to 2160.

I would like the player to simply output the native content without me having to select a native resolution as i have an offboard video processor and my files are a mix of HD, UHD without HDR, UHD with HDR etc.

Any way to achieve this?

Thanks in advance.

Auto resolution switching is not possible at present.

It's been requested but I don't think it's likely to be implemented soon.
