Hello all,

i tried 5 UHD movies,

The black bar at the top of the screen is double up the size with the movies below

Hacksaw Ridge (2016) UHD HDR Atmos (source :ultrahd club)
John Wick (2014) UHD HDR Atmos (source : ultrahd club)
The arrival  (2016) UHD HDR Atmos

I do not have this problem with the following movies :

Oblivion (2013) UHD HDR DTS HD
The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2 (2015) UHD Atmos

i downgraded my box with the previous V1.1.0.7...the problem is still present.

For your information:
There is not this problem with the zidoo X8/X9S

I think this is the same non 16:9 resolution 4K bug as with Himedia Q5/Q10 Pro.

It's not just the double black bar or the wrong location. We are actually loosing content.

Here is a screenshot from the Egreat A5:




The same scene from the Vero 4K:



The A5 picture is clearly cropped, I think only from the bottom. This bug turns the Egreat player unusable for HDR movies.

I'll add an Odroid C2 with Libreelec and an Apple TV 4K with MrMC to the mix and I'll test hopefully this weekend.

Late reply, but....

This only happens on all Egreat players with encoded 4K movies. If you try the full rip or remux of the movie, you'll see that you get the full picture.
This is a problem of the Android version on Egreat. It can only be solved with a new version of Android, if it ever comes and it's one of the reasons we've been complaining on Egreat forums.

Yes, this is the HDR bug that only android 7 should fix, but you can't complain on Egreat forum, because your posts will get deleted, no matter how civil you are, This android 7 thing is getting ridiculous now.
