Does wrapper "carry" PCM 4.0 ?

I tried with a file that has 3 audio streams:
- PCM 5.1 96KHz  --> OK
- PCM 2.0 96KHz  --> OK
- PCM 4.0 96KHz  --> Output is 2.0 96KHz.
Anyway, I hope the streams arrive at 24bit (and not downsampled to 16) to the receiver.
