Copying large files very slow. Q10 Pro

Help please. When transferring large files such as 4K movies to my internal H/D it takes up to 6 hours for a 36 gig film. I am only getting 2.5MB/s.
At the moment i am using ES File explorer.

This has been addressed previously in the forum in a number of threads. 
Assuming you are using Samba from a PC to transfer files, are you using Ethernet?  Some here also use FTP as being faster than Android file managers like ES.  Suggest you read the FAQ?

The absolute fastest way for large files is to plug the Q10 Pro into the PC directly using the rear USB port.  Files transfer at USB 3.0 speeds
I have full Blu-ray remux files of 40Gb+ in size and this works great using Windows Explorer.

I have tried the usb cable method but i get the message file to large or not enough room, i know that there is loads of room, it's a 3 TB drive.

I have tried using a usb cable direct but it will say file to large. I think it is seeing the H/D as a usb device ?.

There were complains about wifi speed of the device on 2.0.0 and on 2.0.1 as well. You should use ethernet cables if you want to transfer large files to the device.

How did you format the internal 3Tb drive?  If it is not NTFS (or EXT4) it may have a file size restriction? 
You know there are drivers for Mac's to read and write to NTFS format drives?
