I tested it. It uses internal memory, the path is /sdcard/Android/data/com.netflix.mediaclient. Video is split into several pieces, none of them am playable with any video player.

Do you have any issues with Netflix crashing every time you hit the back button? I am running Android 7 on Q10. When I ran Android 5.1 I didn't have this issue. Latest Android update (today) still presents the same issue.

Yes, Netflix is crashing at the end of each episode/movie. We got a new firmware based on Nougat 2.0.1, I will test it ASAP tonight.

Edit: it still crashes http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=1610.msg12916#msg12916

Netflix on Q10 Pro, just as other streaming apps, is SD, but a nice looking SD (not even 720p). I cannot complain on my fullHD TV (42 inches). It will probably show on 4K TVs, if output is set to 4K in the interface. If HiMedia gets a L1 Widevine certification, it will worth twice the money I paid for it. I cannot actually test the output, the TV is receiving a upscaled signal. It shows 1080p on movies I know for a fact are 480p.

Damn pity

@futeko. Any chance himedia will add this certificate so we can have netflix 1080 instead of 480p lol

I think we do not have a chance for this to happen. It involves paying a lot of money. HiMedia does not present a great interest to Netflix, because they will have to get in touch with them too, besides Google. There is an email response to another Chinese manufacturer from Netflix (circulating around the web), containing a negative response from Netflix that says "you represent a small company and Netflix is not interested in dealing with you".

Widevine L1 requires a hardware chip on the PCB which HiMedia Q5/Q10 Pro do not have. I am sorry but it will not happen. L3 as we have now is the best you will get.

HiMedia have been in contact with Netflix before Q5/Q10 Pro were conceived and they were rebutted in much the way described in the earlier post.
