Q10 remote control.
« on: January 08, 2017, 07:31:13 PM »
Hi,

My Q10 remote control does not work. Nothings work, no startup from standby, no switch off, no volume ...'nothing. I use also a male RC and this one works except the Q10 turn on from stand by.
I am affraid that the infrared function not work on the Q10. I use also a spare RC and also same problem. So the original RC are ok. Anyone the same problem are any sugestion ? Perhaps my Q10 simply defect in the infrared? Thanks

Try to use your Q10 Pro remote to record TV remote volume, power functions. Then use it on TV. If working, then your remote is okay, Q10 Pro infrared port might have issue. Else it just remote control issue.

You can test the remote by turning all lights off (as dark as possible) and watching the IR sender on the remote using a smartphone camera. The camera will show the flash of the IR light if it is working.

If you think hardware is faulty and you bought from us please email mail@futeko.com with order number.

There are cameras that have an IR filter so that the test would be useless.
For instance:
- iPhone 4S has the filter
- iPod Touch 4th Gen doesn't have the filter.

Not standard remote behaviour at all.  Perhaps yours is damaged?  Try fresh batteries (just in case)?

The Android phone app (HiControl) is another option for you:  http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=796.0
