« on: December 20, 2016, 10:15:18 AM »
hi

can we use SATA HDD as primary storage in HIMEDIA q10 pro??
i already put 1tb HDD into the box.

i want to make the SATA as primary so if we download files and installing apps will directly to the SATA HDD

so we have big storage for.

can himedia q10 do that?

thanks

You can use a SD-Card (64 GByte SDHC max) for that. The internal Android format utility (under Setup ==> Storage)  needs to enable this. Should give ample space already.

I have seen one other brand providing another utility allowing both HDD and/or SD-Card to be formatted as Internal Android storage this instead of standard Portable Storage. Using a SSD would make it even bigger and perform well. A HDD is really too slow for this.
