These problems are not all HiMedia's fault.
Certain apps are not very, or at all, compatible with Android 7. It's a new OS version and this will improve. The apps involved need to to sort themselves out.
HiMedia are aware of this and are going to continue releasing Android 5.1 firmwares so people can choose whether to run Android 5.1 or Android 7 on Q5/Q10 Pro. There will be a new Android 5.1 firmware this week (1.0.9) and a new Android 7 firmware (2.0.1) the week after.
I really wish people would appreciate more the type of support we are getting from Futeko.
I sincerely hope people give other companies a try just to understand how lucky we are here. In my case, I had to suffer from the abysmal support of Xtreamer before moving to the Q10 Pro. It's not even night and day. There are no words in the English dictionary to describe the difference between these 2 companies....
I am in full agreement that HiMedia is a much better than their competition, in product and especially in terms of support (I wouldn't be on this forum otherwise). I also mentioned I was quite pleased with everything before the upgrade. It was stable, smooth and I frankly didn't encounter even one bug.
Now this is what HiMedia said this about the upgrade:
1. Android N OS running stable and smooth2. Support Android N google play version
3. Support Samba uPnP
4. System function perfectly upgraded from 5.1 to Android N with compatibility5. Youtube updated to 1.3.11 and
Netflix to 4.10.7etc. etc.
I didn't have a trust deficit with HiMedia based on my good experience so far, so I took their upgrade message at face value and therefore upgraded.
Now the bugs I've highlighted after the upgrade are by no means petty or minor, not to me at least.
Not being able to watch Netflix without it crashing every time, and having other popular streaming apps also crash or be limited in functionality is a big deal for me, I'm sorry. I didn't buy Q10 Pro to just stream Kodi.
And the "open all apps" function not working on the menu bar.............isn't that a standard Android function?
Based on Futeko's response, it is the apps that are problematic. So Netflix for example, the most popular media streaming service in the world has apparently released a buggy app for Android Nougat and it has nothing to do with HiMedia's firmware upgrade?
I can live with small bugs, every system has them, but to me these are critical flaws and HiMedia got ahead of themselves with this upgrade option reveal.
