before check video setting than

- Download Fake Android TV v0.0.7.rar
- Unzip
- Execute RUNME.bat
       at command prompt:
-  Insert Q5/Q10 Pro IP address
-  press enter
- choose 1 "Fake SHIELD Android TV"
- press enter

himedia reboot and is done!

to restore himedia use "4) Revert to HiMedia box" or flash last firmware.

Yes, that is a known issue. It is mentioned a few times in this thread and the original German thread. You can still modify them from within the HiMedia Settings.

You need a Windows PC connected to the same network as the Q10 Pro.

.bat files are Windows executable, so just double click it in Windows file manager.

Fake Android TV v0.1.1

v0.1.1
- Fixed crash HiMedia Settings Android 7.0, introduced in v0.1.0

v0.1.0
- add YouTube TV
- add Sideload Launcher
- add Zidoo X8/X9s support
- fix lost display settings for HiMedia Q10/Q5Pro
- update Google App to 6.9.37.21

Download link here

Can I update on ver v0.1.0 or restore himedia ?
No.
- Revert to Android box TV with v0.1.0
- Reinstall f/w can do from Menu, take care HMD 2.0.1 is wipe f/w all data will be lost.
- Apply new v0.1.1 version.
Do this just if you are on Android 7.0, for Android 5.1.1 is OK v0.1.0 :)

Hello

I was using your patch 0.0.8 on firmware 2.0.0
Last week I updated to 2.0.1, followed by version 0.1.1 of your patch.
So far everything looks ok, but I can't find Airdroid in my Apps. And somehow, it is not appearing either in the Play Store, I guess because the store was switched to the TV one which might not have Airdroid ?
I was only using Airdroid for file transfers but I guess I am going to rely on Samba from now on...
Do you have any solution to still use airdroid or any recommendation for a good alternative other than Samba?

Thanks!

enjoy your Android TV "Experience"

Looking good so far, good work guys! At last a 21st century interface  8)!

I've just installed it on my Q10 (HMD 2.0.1 - Android 7.0  - Kodi 17), connected to a Samsung 4K Smart TV.

But a few questions:

The official Android TV home screen has a "Settings" button in the bottom-left of the Home Screen, your's does not!
- How do I change that ghastly background wallpaper?
- I've worked out how to remove apps (Skype & Facebook) from the app ribbon, but how do I add new ones?
- You've given us a "Reboot" button, why not the "Power Menu" so we can switch the box off???
- The "Search Box" defaults to "Voice Input". I have no intention of talking to my TV, nor a microphone to do so! How can I change the Voice Input back to Text Input (I've tried in Google Options "Languages & Input" but the  "Voice" option is not there? If I can't have text input, how can I remove the Search Box altogether?

OK, but I chose option 3 as I assumed that was for 4K TVs. Was that right??

Android TV App Launcher Builder
http://atvlauncher.trekgonewild.de/index.php

The "Search Box" defaults to "Voice Input".  --> This is Google force on Android TV.
Are also other things missing because not TV setting inside of box.

OK so I'll have to put up with Voice Input and ignore it.

One of the apps I have on the box is BBC iPlayer. Its icon appears in My Apps and in Sideload Launcher but it does not appear on the app ribbon on the new Android TV interface.

I notice that in the new Google Play Store (7.2.13.J-xhdpi [8] [PR] 139098199) BBC iPlayer is not available in the search: "no results found"! Is that why it's not on the ribbon? Is it compatible? It works!
