MORE ISSUES TO BE SOLVE IN NEXT FIRMWARE 2.0.1

Hai guys,I Recently bought Q10 PRO & deeply disappointed.I previously owned Xtremer PRO and it is user friendly and also its graphics UI menus,home screen are excellent.Plz find the attachments.q10 pro's basic issues are

1.HDD and USB drive detection.HDD is under SD Card and its volume label is something as sda1,sdb1 etc...what is this?.I gave name(VOL LABEL) as"xxxxxxx" to hard disk by using PC.But I cant find that label,but as sda1.Since it is under SD CARD.How it is possible?.The "MEDIA LIBRARY" page menu should have HDD,USB,SD CARD(or INTERNAL MEMORY) and etc....Under HDD it should have HDD(Volume label).Plz view the image of Xtreamer Pro or Xtreamer eXpress.

2.The LCD display should have "dimmer"

3.The home page(kodi,media library....) graphics is not got and cant change its wallpaper.

4.There is no option to change Icon size in home page menu(atleast smaller,small,large,larger,etc...)

5.The colour for icon box in home page(kodi,media library...) has given as green,red,yellow..etc....There is no option to change that.It must have option to change to transparent or some thing.

6.If I enter into the HDD(sda1 ),I cant change the size of menu and file names.It is very bigger.For Instance If I have 25 files under "film" folder ,it show only 6 or 7.I have to scroll down to find others.(My projector shows very bigger).It should capable of change the Icon size.

7.My box is pre installed with Android N and Kodi 16.In kodi the HDD and USB are detected as twice and its size are wrong.I cant imagine.(If I upgrade to kodi 17 beta,i am surprise!!!!!!!! ,,,,I find the Volume Label).

8.Power ON is not enable in RII Mx3-m remote.Only POWER OFF working.Why???

9."notification sound" is very irritating.It should have option to "turn off".

Finally sound quality is not equivalent as XTREAMER PRO.

Till now I find these issues.But there is lot of issues.I will update as I remember.I TRUST that all these bugs will be solved in "UPCOMING FIRWARES"(praying for god).If these bugs not fixed,then I SWITCH TO XTREAMER EXPRESS(delivery issues there) or ZIDOO X9S or EWEAT R9.

1. Behaviour will be changed to how you describe in 2.0.1. It already is in beta. It is also fixed in all firmware by installing this patch: http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=1421.0

2. You can turn it off in Settings - More - Display.

3. You can install any launcher you want. There are loads available in Play Store and elsewhere. The HiMedia launcher is simple and to the point but whether you like this style is personal preference.

4. As above. The launcher is designed to be simple. A lot of people find this preferable.

6. Point taken and I'll forward it to HiMedia. I think most people use Kodi+wrapper. This gives Kodi's superior interface and Himedia's superior playback.

7. This is a quirk of Android 7 and Kodi 16.1. As you've found, it's fixed in Kodi 17, the final version of which is days away.

8. By default the power on/off button on MX3-M does not replicate the HiMedia IR on/off. It replicates a keyboard power button. This turns the box off but an IR command is required to turn the box back on. The solution is to program the MX3-M to replicate the IR remote's power button. 9. This has been requested and I think will be implemented in next firmware.

sda1,sdb1 etc.. is standard liunx ,ALL android player "see" HDD as External SDCard

if you want  HDD,USB,SD CARD , you must buy liunx or windows player.
Same APP use HDD(Volume label) but is not right way , Volume label is not unique, the correct usage is  UUID (Universally Unique Identifier), available on next firmware.

very strange Hi3798C V200 have good internal dac for analog stereo output.

Ha ha, indeed P4K is also my worst player, but on the other side of the coin my Xtreamer Prodigy is the best player I ever had (equivalent is a very stable but simpler Eminent EM7385). It is still being used after very many years as it is still the only player having no troubles in any aspect with DVD in Folder or ISO formats this with or without Menus.

My Himedia Q10 Pro and Zidoo X9S still suck here seriously this till even a point of being totally unusable with the most recent FW  (will wait and see Xtreamer eXpress coming).

A lot of people miss the old media player chipsets (Realtek 1073, 1185 [Prodigy], 1186 [HiMedia 900B], Sigma 8654 etc).

They were a lot simpler than the Android products we have today. This had it's advantages in getting core features working.

really  Prodigy not have full-auto swtich  50<>60hz onyl 50/60 -> 24. Not have good quality picture quality. But have  2D -> 3D  extra software conversion  .... not real 3D but nice.

This is Q5/Q10 Pro support forum, not general discussion of other products..

A big advantage of Android is that you can install other launchers. There are loads available for free in Play Store if you don't like the HiMedia one. e.g. Halauncher/ugooslauncher. You can also find and install launchers for most other Android box products if you search for them.

I've found another problem - I don't know if it was on previous firmware (because I just bought q5 pro and I installed ANDROID 7 + 2.0.0).

To the point - there is a problem with srt subtitles, some lines are not showing in the himedia player (and in KODI with wrapper - pure kodi 16.1 works fine, same with PC and the player built into TV).

The problematic subs are the ones that start at the same time as others end - example ->

I've tried changing sub coding, using 24p mode. Tried every possible srt coding (ANSI, UTF8, UNICODE), same problem.
If anyone know how to fix it or could report this problem to himedia I would be grateful.

I miss only 1 media player: WD TV Live. If that thing was updated to the latest video/audio standards, I would pay $1000 for it.

It was so easy to use... I moved from this to the Xtreamer 4K so you can imagine how traumatic this switch was for me...

Issues, bugs etc... And with XtreamerAdmin, you can be sure you will never get proper support. That is if he doesn't ban you if you dare complain.

For subtitle lines not showing, already reported.
Reasons not showing lines: too short pause and overlapping.
Adjust with subtitle workshop until we get a fix.
